Adding Tags to a Recording
Add tags to recordings in the editor. Tags are a part of mp3 and mpeg-4 aac audio files that contain non-musical data such as artist, album, record label, genre and more.
Tags can be added to files of any format in the WireTap Studio editor. This is useful for searching recordings in the WireTap Studio library, but tags will be lost on export for all formats except mp3 and mpeg-4 aac audio files.
To edit a tag:
- Select a recording in the library and click on the Edit button, or simply double click the file.
NOTE: To edit a file not recorded by WireTap Studio go to the File menu and select Open... - Click on the Tags button.
- Make your changes.
- To save your changes, either go to the File menu to Save, press command s, or close the recording and click on Save in the dialog presented.
